Camp WheezeAway is a free, long-running Alabama summer camp for kids (ages 8-12) with asthma, held at YMCA Camp Chandler in Wetumpka, AL, providing typical camp activities like swimming, crafts, and canoeing, plus asthma education in a supportive, no-cost environment, funded by donations.

• Who it’s for: Children aged 8 to 12 with ASTHMA.
• Cost: Free for campers; costs are covered by sponsors and donors.
• Location: YMCA Camp Chandler, 1240 Jordan Dam Road, Wetumpka, AL 36092.
• Activities: Horseback riding, swimming, canoeing, archery, arts & crafts, games, and learning about asthma triggers and management.
• Purpose: To offer a fun, normal summer camp experience for kids with asthma, building confidence and new skills.
